26A – Celebrating Failure

I withdraw the accounting Financial Accounting Report 2 in the last semester. I think I am not the person who is good at accounting stuff. I do not feel very bad because it is hard for me. I cannot understand the principle and rules behind accounting. Even though I only slept a few hours and practiced over and over the questions in the book, I still easily messed up the exams. So, I think I am not the person who should learn to account.
I suddenly notice that people can very good at something but also can very bad at something like accounting. I passed FAR1, but I failed in the FAR2. I decided to change my major and find a new direction for my life.
If I pass FAR2 and another class, I will apply minor accounting. I will see if I want to challenge it again in the future.

  1. Hi Don,
I can really relate to your story celebrating failure. Last semester I also withdrew from one of my accounting classes. I agree, I just don't think its for me. I like the way that you responded to it by finding something more that suits you and not blocking off the possibility in the future.
